Full Version: -fdfout encrypted and not accepted by Adobe reader

Using PDFMELD program on Windows XP, I find that the FDF file created using -fdfout is encrypted, and is not accepted by Adobe Reader X.
The encrypted file is rather difficult to (text)edit.
It looks like the typical cryptic second line in the FDF file is missing (it is similar to the 2nd line in PDF files).
A zipped exported FDF file is attached.[attachment=18]
What are you using for input to PDF meld? If the PDF you're starting with is encrypted then that might be a problem. In that case you'll need to pass in the owner password with -pwdlist. Or are you already using -pwdlist and that's what you're getting?

Thanks...and yes...the PDF file was indeed encrypted.
Use of -pwdlist did not help export plain text to the FDF file...it was still encrypted.
When I rebuilt the PDF file without compression...it worked fine...and the FDF was usable by Adobe Reader.
Let me check it out then. It should decrypt it first before exporting the fields.
